For those of you who have chosen to prepare your own documentation, we at Borders and Beyond can perform an application review and assessment of your documentation. This type of service can not only save you time but ensure that simple errors have not been made. A simple error on your application could cost you a lot of time, frustration and significant delays. The worst case scenario is that it could cause a refusal in your application. We may also be able to offer some guidance in how to submit your package so that your documentation is all in order and nothing is missing. This type of service is available on a case-by-case basis.

If you have submitted a file that is currently in process at a Canadian Visa Office in another country and would like to know the status of your file, we can assist. CAIPS (Computerized Assisted Immigration Process System) is an electronic system used to enter information and record the progress of a file at various stages. It provides valuable information as to the status of your file. It is very different from the e-client information found on the immigration department’s website in that it is much more detailed. This system will provide you with the immigration officer’s notes, whether your file is waiting on any outstanding documents or issues, which stages your file has passed and provide an insight into possible questions which may be asked of you at the interview stage if one is required. This type of service is also available on a case-by-case basis.
