FREE ASSESSMENT

At Borders and Beyond we offer you initial assessments to assess whether you qualify to immigrate to Canada under select programs.  Although we will charge you a fee to perform your initial assesement, we will offer you a credit towards your immigration matter if you decide to use our services.   We encourage you to browse a few of the categories below and fill in our free assessment form in order that we can provide you with this service.   We will advise you whether or not you qualify or where you may be lacking in order to qualify under a certain program.

FAMILY CLASS SPONSORSHIP:

Canada wishes that families be reunited.  Citizenship and Immigration Canada has in place a process to allow for quicker family reunification.

In order to be able to sponsor a family member, one must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.  If you are, you may be able to sponsor your spouse, common-law-partner, conjugal partner, dependent child (including adopted children) or another qualifying relative.

Once the sponsored person is approved to enter Canada they become permanent residents on arrival.  Once a permanent resident, they are legally entitled to work, live and to study in Canada.  Permanent residents of Canada enjoy most of the rights and privileges of Canadian Citizens.  After becoming a permanent resident and residing in Canada for a minimum of three years, your loved one can apply for Canadian Citizenship.

SELF-EMPLOYED PERSONS:

In order to apply as a self-employed person, you must meet certain criteria, as follows:

  1.  Must have relevant experience.  This is defined as a person who has farm management experience, a person who has participated in cultural activities or athletics at the world class level, or a person who has been employed in either cultural activities or athletics.

  2.  Must meet the selection criteria established.  You will be assessed on five different categories.  Education, experience, Age, Language Ability in English and/or French and Adaptability.  The highest possible score is 100 and in order to qualify you must obtain a minimum of 35 points.

  3.  Must be able to pass security, medical and other requirements.  You and your family (if applicable) must be able to pass a medical exam and meet both security and criminal checks.

  4.  Must be able to prove you have sufficient funds to support you and your family (if applicable) when you arrive in Canada.

** Please note that if you wish to immigrate to the Province of Quebec that this province operates its own business program.  Please advise us if Quebec is where you wish to immigrate.
