SETTLEMENT SERVICES

At Borders and Beyond we know that relocating to a new place, especially a new Country, one can face many challenges.  We offer some settlement services as a means to helping you get settled into your new Country.  We will try and take the guesswork out of some of the usual things you will face upon your arrival.  Depending on your arrival location, we will strive to provide you with a list of contacts for you to arrange such things as:

• Applying for a Social Insurance Number.  Please note that you will require a social insurance number in order to secure employment.
• Applying for a Drivers Licence.
• Enrolling your children in School.
• Applying for Health Insurance.
• Directing you to Government approved settlement services such as language training classes, job preparation workshops etc.
• Opening a bank account.
• Booking hotel accommodation for your arrival to Canada.
• Arranging for transportation from the airport to your hotel.

We also can provide you a more personalized approach and create a unique settlement service package catered to your exact needs.  We can put you in touch with a variety of different individuals who provide specialized services such as real estate agents for the purchase or renting of properties, accountants, lawyers for any legal requirements you may have, financial planners for you to plan your future etc.
